This is the new identity for Soul Stew. The client makes healthy gift baskets for different diets: paleo, raw, vegan, etc. 

I wanted to get the idea of "food" and "soul" in one, so the circle element fit perfectly. 

One of our clients approached us asking for a new brand identity for an umbrella company he is started up named Apellie.

The company is going to be law services, financial services, IT services and more. The client did not have a lot of direction in mind, but he did really like the idea of using a husky as an element. Huskies are very loyal, strong and reliable dogs, so it was fitting for the company's underlying meaning.

I went with a more literal interpretation of a husky and a more abstract one. The abstract represents the markings on husky's faces, from ears down onto the face in between the eyes. I wanted the logo to be sophisticated and simple.

Spree is going to be an app for online shopping.

The client wanted a "hipster" solution and was really into the geometric logos.

After brainstorming, I had thought of a hummingbirds wings- the movement of them reminded me of a "spree." When presented to the clients, he loved the idea of a hummingbird mark. I originally had a very geometric looking hummingbird, but the final decision was to make the bird more character looking, while remaining somewhat geometric. The type was created by using all circles which compliment the finalized version of the hummingbird. 

The finished product is one that will look good small (app icon) and is very usable (one-color & reversed).

This is the new logo for the University of Central Florida Victim Services.

They were pretty picky on colors, imagery and typography. So after a lot of back and forth, this was the outcome.

The butterfly represents transformation which is what Victim Services are all about. They want their clients to feel empowered to take charge of their lives and pick up the pieces.

Their logo has several variations which are shown here as well as B&W and reversed versions.

I spent over a year and a half working for St. John's County Cultural Events Division at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre & Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. When I first got the job, I was a graphic design intern. I would do basic design work such as resizing images for the web sites and creating images that would be sent out in e-mail to notify viewers of upcoming shows. The longer I worked there, the more I became the in-house designer for both venues. I worked on everything from postcards to flyers to editorially ads and so on.

This is just a small collection of some of the works I did for SJCCED. I had published works in many of the magazines and newspapers around St. Augustine & Ponte Vedra as well as posters and flyers littering the city.

Workin Girl is a brand identity design for a friends cleaning company.

I did a lot of research for this project, and I found that most cleaning services identities aren't very engaging. My goal was to make this brand fun, inviting, and colorful, much like the client.

Ultimately this logo was just for fun and to give as a Christmas present.

This is a logo concept for an online gaming company that I did while working for Troika Studio in St. Augustine.

Abillio- short for "A Billion," so money was inspiration for this logo.
The client requested a "Hunger Games meets fantasy" type feel as well.

During my time at Troika Studio, I produced more logos than I ever have before. 

This is a sampling of some of the logos (concept & published) I created for various brands.

The biggest client of Troika's is The Bert Show. The Bert Show is a radio talk show hosted by Bert Weiss. They have a young target demographic of girls between the ages 18-25. The show is witty and engaging. When they called for a rebrand, everyone at Troika threw their options in. The first three logos are my various logo & app logo ideas for the new identity. Falling within the target demographic, I figured I would have this project nailed, however, they decided to go with a version that wasn't so far off the old one. I am still proud of the concepts though.

On a happier note, the next four logos are currently being used by The Bert Show. It was my job to create all of the bit logos for the different radio bits that Bert and his crew did. I selected my favorites of about 15.

The next set of logos are for another Troika client- Premier Sport Horse. This client approached us with a Pintrest board of ideas. The last three logos are my concepts for the project.

Usher's New Look is also a client of Troika Studio.

I was requested to make header graphics for email blasts for the 5 different cities UNL is located in.

The client wanted a fun and illustrated looking design. This was the outcome.

STUDENT CONCEPT WORK

Silver Bullet Grille is a hypothetical restaurant brand identity, inspired by 1920's Art Deco.

The name comes from a childhood story of when I would leave half burritos from Chipolte wrapped in tin foil in the fridge. My dad always called them my "silver bullets." 

The main elements of the brand revolve around the bullet, bullet bottom, and bullet hole using vector shapes and very saturated colors to give the era a modern twist. Silver Bullet is meant to be a fun yet sophisticated hang out for people in their mid twenties to early thirties.

STUDENT CONCEPT WORK

The MadEase app is a smart phone application that is essentially a virtual closet to the user. The user documents their clothing by photograph and organizes them into a variety of categories. You can then generate an outfit by shaking, by category or even by weather. There is also an option to mark the worn items dirty or even get their friend’s opinion of an outfit by using the share choice. Targeting mainly women, the idea is to make life easier with one less decision each day. 

(MadEase is a play on words. Meaning Mad Ease- doing something easily, but it is also like Maddie's- Maddie's app)

STUDENT CONCEPT WORK

An all natural dog treat product line that targets urban dwellers- mostly newly weds. Before jumping right into having kids, they get a dog and need to learn the proper nutrition and tricks to raising an animal. OmNom is an all natural and organic dog treat product line that encouraged it’s customers to understand that not all brands of food and treats are necessarily good for your furry friend. OmNom treats are not made with fillers or by products.

Pet food lines packaging is often busy and distracting. The approach to OmNom was for a sleek modern style that did not overly complicate the treat packaging, but contains all of the important information relating to the treats and brand. The coloring of the brand is meant to stay minimal by just using a pop of color for each different flavor, which is also separated by color. OnNom is meant to me a trusted, recognizable brand, so the element of the puppy licking it's nose was sure to do the trick!

STUDENT CONCEPT WORK

ColorAddict is a product line of OPI nail polish. The challenge was to create a product line with the same trusted values as OPI nail polish but geared toward a younger generation, who are internet savvy and embrace self expression. These girls typically don’t play by the rules, they create their own. The product is a nail polish kit that can be subscribed to online and received monthly that includes polish shots, four remover pads, a nail file/cuticle press, and cuticle oil. The advertisements are meant to be eye catching and just vague enough to drive traffic to the website for more information.

Inspiration for this project came from observing medical devices and prescription medications. The target audience has a COLOR addiction.

STUDENT CONCEPT WORK

The challenge was to create a packaging redesign for a favorite childhood toy without using any glue flaps and only one piece of paper for a cost effective packaging design.

The packaging design was to contain all of the information that the original design had but the lay out is meant to encourage children to want to keep the packaging as a way to display the fingerboards. This of course will diminish the waste created from this product making it a more sustainable packaging design. The design also utilizes the front three panels as a means of displaying the product and the back side is for the legal information. This makes the packaging more about the product in order to promote it better. 

Inspiration for this project came from moire patterns and geometric three dimensional shapes. The triangle in the bottom of the packaging serves as a piece to use the tech deck on. The moire pattern gives a slight twist on the standard window of packaging design and creates an interesting pattern when walked around or shifted which draws the viewer in. It is subtle enough however as to not distract from the actual skateboard. The geometric squares also use a different kind of moire pattern in order to give the green shapes a little more depth and texture.

STUDENT CONCEPT WORK

Inspired from the book A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. Six hundred of the most meaningful words are combined into one paragraph and then used to create typographic panels based around one specific sentence or passage. 

The typographic panels each represent a very specific meaning relating to the book by Frey. The book describes the time he spent in a rehabilitation center after his life comes crashing down because of his addiction. The book is truly inspiring and has a lot of prominent imagery created in the mind.

The idea is to use the panels in art therapy centers for former drug and alcohol addicts as a means of inspiring them to turn to art for self expression. Getting over an addiction is not an easy thing, so the therapy centers will help them transitions to a life after rehab.
